This is a huge tradition in the parking lots of Soldier Field. On Sundays, the parking lot fills up early and parking passes are hard to come by. You'll see everything from Bears RV's to Bears Buses to Bears Ambulences and everybody is flying their Bears flags high in sky. Footballs are flying around and bag toss games are everywhere. Visit our merchandise section for the latest in Bears tailgating accessories.

We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation
With your T-formation

Bear Down, Chicago Bears
And let them know why you're wearing the crown!

You're the pride and joy of Illinois,
Chicago Bears, Bear Down!!

Timeout Ritual
PA Announcer: "There's a timeout!"
Fans: "Where?"
PA Announcer: "On the field."
Fans: "Ohhhhh"
This is a fan tradition that was started by Bears PA announcer Jim Riebandt. Whenever there is a timeout during the game, Riebandt will announce over the PA system that "there is a timeout". Immediately, all 65,000 fans at Soldier Field, yell: "where". After a dramatic pause, Riebandt adds: "on the field". With the fans again finishing with "ohhhhh". It's a tradition that is unique to the Bears and Soldier Field and is a must for all fans attending the games.
